DEFINITION OF LOADSDEAD LOADS: The weight of the building system. ROOF LIVE LOADS: Loads that are produced by workers, equipment, and materials during the life of the structure by movable objects, excluding wind, snow, seismic and dead loads. WIND LOADS: The load caused by the wind from any horizontal direction. ROOF SNOW LOADS: The verticle load induced by the weight of snow, assumed to act on the horizontal projection on the roof of the structure. COLLATERAL LOADS: The weight of additional permanent materials other than the building system, such as sprinklers, mechanical systems, electrical systems, partitions and ceilings.
